It was hosting the freestyle events for the 16th Winter Olympics in Albertville in 1992, that allowed the redevelopment of access to the Grande Motte, via the cable car that summits at 3456 m.

  • Base station altitude : 2111 m

  • Top station altitude : 3032 m

  • Vertical : 921 m


The Perce Neige funicular was built to provide easier access to the most prestigious part of the Tignes - Val d'Isère ski area : the Grande Motte, largely located in the Vanoise National Park.
